Turkey Stuffing

Turkey Stuffing

3 cups celery 12 3/4 oz
2 onions 
2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 fl oz
1 pound mild Italian sausage — cut in 1/2-inch pieces
2 apples — cut in 1/2″ cubes
1 cup raisins 6 oz
3 cups stale bread — cut in 1/4″ pieces
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried sage
1 cup Port 8 fl oz
1 cup chicken broth 8 oz
1.  Chop onions and celery In food processor. Heat oil in a skillet, add onion and celery, cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
2.  Transfer vegetables in a mixing bowl. Add sausage to the skillet and cook for 10 minutes while breaking up. Add to bowl. Stir in the apples, raisins and the bread cubes. Toss slightly.
3.  Add the Port and broth and toss until well blended. Bake in a large pan at 325F for 45 minutes
