Shepherds Pie Recipe By: Dave Mathews Serving Size: 4 Preparation Time: 20Min
1 1/2 lbs potatoes 1/4 cup warm milk 2 tbsps butter 2 tablespoon parsley 1 1/2 lbs beef 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 onion — chopped 1 clove garlic — minced 1 green pepper — chopped 1/2 cup red wine 4 tablespoons Heinz Chili Sauce 1 bay leaf 2 tsps thyme 2 tbsps parsley 26 oz can of corn
1. Cook potatoes for 20 minutes and mash them with milk and butter. Mix in parsley. 2. Heat oil, cook onion, garlic and pepper for 8 minutes. Add beef and cook until brown. Add wine and let it reduce for 5 minutes. Add Chili Sauce, bay leaf, thyme and parsley. Cook for another 5 minutes. 3. Layer in pan; beef, corn and then potatoes. Add a little drops of margarine on top. Cook at 375°F for 40 minutes.
