Maple Syrup Pie

1 1/2 cups maple syrup
3/4 cup hot water
6 tablespoons butter/margarine – 3oz
9 tablespoons flour – 4oz
1 pie shell — cooked
strawberries — sliced
1. Mix maple syrup and water in bowl.
2. Melt butter/margarine slowly in saucepan. Add flour and mix well.
3. Add syrup mixture to saucepan and bring slowly to a boil while stirring continuously.
4. When the syrup has thickened, remove from heat and let cool.
5. Pour mixture into a cooked pie shell.
6. Cover with sliced strawberries.
