Steak on Lettuce

Steak on Lettuce

Preparation Time: 20 minutes

1 pound steak — thinly sliced. I use Steak for Chinese Fondue.
1/4 cup dry sherry 
1/4 cup water 
3 tablespoons soy sauce 
3 tablespoons oil 
1/2 pound mushrooms — sliced 
8 ounces snow peas — cut in half 
2 teaspoons cornstarch 
4 cups shredded lettuce
1. Combine sherry, water and soy sauce in medium bowl; add steak, stirring to coat. Let stand for 10 minutes 
2. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in wok or large frying pan. Add mushrooms and snow pea and cook quickly 3 to 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove vegetable and reserve. 
3. Drain marinade from steak; reserve. Add remaining oil to pan. Quickly brown steak 3 to 4 minutes or until done, stirring constantly. Stir cornstarch into reserved marinade. Add vegetables and marinade and cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Serve steak stir-fry over lettuce.
